First Day of Ramadan
The first day of Ramadan 1445 will be Monday, March 11th, 2024.
The first Taraweeh will be Sunday night, March 10th. For information regarding the method used for determining the start of Ramadan, see the Fiqh Council of North America calendar.
Prayer Times
Taraweeh
(Every Night after Isha'a)
We will pray 8 Raka'ah followed by Witr and then resume praying another 12 Raka'ah for those wishing to pray 20 Rakah.
First week we will begin Isha'a at 8:30 PM with updated time announced each Friday night
The Khatm al-Quran will be on the night of the 29th of Ramadan (Sunday, April 7th).
There will be a 5 minute nightly talk during the break in Taraweeh prayer related to Seerah (a significant figure in the history of Islam)
Tahajud
We will be praying Tahajud at 3:30 AM each day in the last ten days of Ramadan followed by Suhoor beginning on Thursday, March 21st.

Sponsor an Iftar of Suhoor
ICN is planning to have Iftar for the community on weekends (Fri, Sat and Sun) and everyday during the last ten nights. Additionally, Suhoor will be arranged for the community in the last ten days. You can select to sponsor full or portion of Iftar dinner/suhoor by using the link below.
ICN is also planning to have special Iftars and Suhoors for the Young Professionals, College Students, and New Muslim groups. Details will be provided soon.

Zakat Ul Fitr / Fidya / Kaffara
Zakat Al-Fitr is $12 minimum per Family Member
Fidya is $15 minimum per day of fast missed
Kaffara minimum is feeding 10 masakeen for a day ($150)
Zakat Al-Fitr can be paid anytime during the month of Ramadan. Instructions on how to pay will be provided when Ramadan begins.
We encourage everyone to pay early so that there is enough time to distribute to those in need. A form will be provided for any person or family in Middle Tennessee requesting Zakat Al-Fitr to verify eligibility.
Eid prayer
Eid Al-Fitr Is On Wednesday, April 10th
Eid Salat will be at 9 am (sharp) at the Tennessee State University Practice Facility, 1251 Schrader Ln, Nashville, TN 37209. For the method used for determining Eid Ul-Fitr, please see the Fiqh Council calendar. More info will be forthcoming as Eid nears. You can use this link to download a copy of the Eid excuse letter.

Invite Your Friend to Ramadan Iftar Dinner and Islam 101 event
This year, we're excited to host four sessions at both our 12South and Bellevue Mosque centers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about common misconceptions, ask questions, and connect with their Muslim neighbors.
